Description:

Takumi Harada, at the tender age of 12, has already established himself as a baseball prodigy. However, when his family relocates to the rural town of Nitta, Takumi is left with no option but to join a poorly skilled baseball team at his new school. Nonetheless, Takumi remains unfazed by this turn of events, as he believes that his mere presence can transform this nondescript squad into a formidable force. Nevertheless, with his exceptional abilities on the field, Takumi requires a catcher capable of keeping up with his lightning-fast pitches. Enter Gou Nagakura, a fellow student and Takumi's enthusiastic admirer. Gou is eager to demonstrate his prowess as a player who can catch Takumi's pitches with consummate ease. Despite initial difficulties, Takumi and Gou gradually form a cohesive "battery". However, Takumi's scornful conduct and insouciant personality begin to create friction with his new teammates. Under the tutelage of his wise grandfather, Takumi must reconcile his love of the game with the challenges of becoming a team player.
