Description:

On the back of a jellyfish, a goldfish flees from its home, finding itself trapped in a glass jar before washing up on the shoreline. Luckily, Sousuke, a young boy who lives with his mother Lisa, saves her. The goldfish, who licks a cut on Sousuke's finger, is affectionately named Ponyo. However, what Sousuke doesn't know is that Ponyo already has a name and a family. Her father, a sorcerer named Fujimoto now living underwater, is searching for his daughter, Brunhilde. Ponyo, eager to leave her underwater life behind, rejects her birth name and grows arms and legs, thanks to the power of Sousuke's blood. This change unleashes magical forces that create chaos in the world. The Moon begins to fall out of orbit, and the tides grow dangerously stronger. Sousuke, who finds Ponyo, must pass an ancient test and restore order to nature before Ponyo can achieve her dream of becoming a human.
