Description:
Simulicram is a theocratic society that maintains peace by only allowing individuals to be born as females. As they reach 17 years old, maidens gain the ability to choose their gender through a special ceremony. However, only select maiden priestess Pairs can fly the ancient Simoun aircrafts which are necessary for protecting Simulicram. These Pairs opt out of the ceremony to continue operating their Simoun. When the Chor Tempest squadron is destroyed by an enemy attack, Aer is recruited as a Simoun pilot. To achieve her dream, she needs the approval of Neviril, the Chor Tempest leader. Unfortunately, Neviril is still struggling with the loss of her previous Pair who passed away attempting a forbidden Simoun maneuver in battle.
