Description:
Japan was split in two after suffering great devastation in The Third Division, the third World War. Vischio, a criminal organization, took over the ruined city of Toshima (previously known as Tokyo, Japan's capital city) years after the war ended and established a battle game called "Igura". Akira, a young man, was falsely accused of a crime and arrested. He was later approached by a mysterious woman who offered him freedom if he competed in Igura and defeated the game's strongest player, Il-re, the king. The story follows Akira's survival and the unraveling of various mysteries in the lawless and harsh world of Toshima.
