Description:
Musashino City is under attack by the fearsome Shounen Bat (also known as Lil' Slugger), a rollerblading attacker wielding a golden baseball bat. Despite being terrorized by the assailant's swift and vicious attacks, the residents of the city struggle to make sense of his motives or catch him. Among the first victims of Shounen Bat is Tsukiko Sagi, a shy and well-known character designer who becomes a suspect in orchestrating the attacks. Only her anthropomorphic stuffed animal, Maromi, believes in her innocence as more victims fall prey to Shounen Bat's strikes. As the chaos continues to escalate, detectives Keiichi Ikari and Mitsuhiro Maniwa launch an investigation to uncover the identity of the attacker, even as rumors and paranoia spread throughout Musashino City. Will they be able to get to the bottom of things before the situation spirals further out of control?
