Description:

When the Otter Empire conquers the noble Kappa Kingdom, Prince Keppi is left powerless and at the mercy of the Kapa-zombies - sinister creatures representing people's innermost desires that now infest the world, brought to life by the Otters themselves. With little hope, Keppi turns to three young boys for help: Kazuki Yasaka, forever carrying a mysterious box; Enta Jinnai, Kazuki's closest friend from childhood; and Tooi Kuji, a rebellious truant. Through a transformation ritual where they are relieved of their shirikodama organs, the boys themselves become Kappa and join the fight against the Kapa-zombies. In order to succeed however, they must connect with each other not only physically, but through their darkest secrets as well. Entrusting the fate of the Kappa Kingdom to them, the boys learn to reveal their vulnerabilities and treasure the strength of their bonds, knowing that they are the only hope for a world plagued by the undead.
