Description:
During the 19th century, in Genoa, Italy, a 9-year-old boy named Marco must confront the reality of being separated from his mother, Anna. In order to escape heavy taxes and a deep economic depression, Anna emigrates to Argentina for work. Marco is left behind with his father, who works as a doctor at a hospital for the poor. Despite his father's presence, Marco struggles with missing his mother. When Anna ceases to send letters home, Marco grows increasingly worried and decides to embark on a solo journey to Argentina to find her. He must travel over 10,000 miles, facing numerous obstacles, armed only with love, courage, friendship, and a yearning to reunite with his mother. The story takes us on an adventure that spans the Atlantic, the Andes, and the spiritual border, as we witness Marco's transformation into a mature young man.
