Description:
Hiroki Fujisawa and Takuya Shirakawa have two passions in their lives: their classmate Sayuri Sawatari and the immense Ezo Tower that overlooks the Tsugaru Strait. Fascinated by the towering structure they can't reach, Hiroki and Takuya decide to build an airplane they call the Bella Ciela using a crashed drone, hoping to one day soar to the top of the tower. With Sayuri's support, the trio vows to reach the summit together. However, Japan's North-South division causes conflict that affects the tower's base, which serves as the border between American-controlled Southern islands and lands occupied by the Soviet Union in the North. One day, Sayuri vanishes, leaving Hiroki and Takuya lost and heartbroken. Unbeknownst to them, she has fallen into a deep sleep disorder that has rendered her comatose for three years. Later, they discover that her condition is inexplicably linked to the Ezo Tower they had hoped to conquer together.
