Description:
As a child, Nanami Simpson lost her mother and was taken in by her father, marine biologist Scott Simpson, aboard the Peperonchino research vessel. Scott was on a mission to locate the rare glowing whale, but when he discovered its bones, he changed his objective to focus on conservation. Meanwhile, Nanami formed a bond with an Orca she named Tico, and swam with it daily, eventually developing the ability to breathe underwater. One day, Nanami nearly drowned, but was rescued by a glowing whale, much to her father's amazement.
